We are happy to share that our tentative reopening date for all centers is October 19!

If you recall our previous e-newsletter, we opened our Santee location in a limited capacity right around the 4 of July weekend. Unfortunately, it was short-lived as the Governor implemented the re-closure of non-essential businesses shortly thereafter. Taking a cue from family entertainment centers, we felt it was best to also close YV (again).

However, given youth groups are able to meet in limited capacity within a supervised environment, and as students deal with the various strains of distanced learning, we feel now is the right time to open the youth centers for kids in the area so long as youth cohorts are able to gather.

As mentioned before, we are implementing CDC guidelines to ensure the safety of all who enter Youth Venture:

Check-In Procedure

  • A signed, updated permission slip required by all members
  • Temperature check and brief health screen at the door

Healthy Environment

  • No admittance to anyone who has exhibited symptoms
  • No admittance to anyone who has been exposed to anyone in his/her household that has exhibited symptoms or tested positive for COVID
  • No admittance to anyone who has a fever higher than 100*F
  • Increased sanitization schedule – applicable to shared equipment, tables, and chairs etc.
  • No visitors allowed unless otherwise approved by a Site Director (visitors must wear masks)
  • Tables and chairs separated by 6 feet of distance
  • Hand sanitizer placed throughout the center
  • Box of gloves available for optional use
  • Turning off every other gaming station
  • Removing board games

Student Health

  • Limited attendance to 15 students at a time
  • Mandatory face coverings within 6 feet of another person
  • Encourage attendance on the same day / time each week
  • Encourage physical distancing

Staff Health & Well-being

  • Mandatory face coverings within 6 feet of another person
  • Continued commitment to shift schedule (same day / time each week)
