Over the past couple of months, the Junior High and High School ministries at Foothills Church resumed in-person gatherings so many kids who normally go to a Youth Venture center have had the opportunity to hear from and learn about God’s Word. These ministry gatherings also give youth an opportunity to engage and interact with peers, meet caring adults, and have an opportunity to be youth amidst social and physical distancing.
On average, 36 kids who normally go to Youth Venture have been attending the High School ministry meetings at Foothills Church, which means Youth Venture has made up almost one-third of the total attendance at the High School ministry meetings each week! The Junior High ministry has been a bit slower due to kids aging into high school this past year; On average, 5.5 kids who normally go to Youth Venture have been meeting weekly at the Junior High gatherings.
We hope and expect that with the upcoming reopening we can generate more interest and involvement from the junior high (and high school) demographic to engage with the youth ministry events at Foothills Church – and to ultimately know Christ and make Him known.
