One of the fundamental tenets of Youth Venture is to meet kids where they are and minister to their spiritual and often real needs. As a ministry, we are already sensitive to the socio-economic circumstances of our program recipients (i.e. youth) as many of them come from low-income communities. Therefore, we know how dire an impact a shutdown of businesses and non-essential operations can have on the economy and on family well-being.

With delight and eagerness, Youth Venture addressed these concerns by coming together with the Bus Ministry of Foothills Christian Church and hosted a week-long food drive. Thanks to the generosity of our church family, we had more than enough food staples to fill over 200 hundred bags of groceries that we then hand-delivered to the families within these ministries. It was a joy to have the opportunity to continue serving our youth despite having our doors closed and even more so to reconnect with familiar faces amidst a time of social distancing.

A special thanks to everyone who donated food or monetary support, volunteered to collect food, and those who came along to drop off groceries.
